After setting up and creating a project, you have the flexibility to edit the name and settings whenever necessary. Change the ISO and type metadata, update the project, name, site buffer, and the project datasets.
Overview of Editing Project Settings
After you have set up and created a project, you have the ability to re-open the project setup screen and alter the project settings.
This article covers how to edit:
- Project Name
- Site Buffer
- Project Type
- Project ISO
- Assigned Datasets
Editing a Project Name
Click on the Project Settings icon, which can be found next to the Create a new project icon in the upper right corner of the screen. This will open the Update Project menu where you can make changes to your project settings.
Once the Project Settings menu is open, you can edit the name of the project.
NOTE: The name of the project must be unique.
Editing Project Type
To edit the Project Type, select the Type dropdown and choose from Solar, Wind, Battery Energy Storage System, Hybrid or Other.
Editing the Site Buffer
Change the site buffer by opening the Update Project screen and tying in a different number. The default is 0 feet, and the maximum buffer is 2640 feet. The buffered distance will be included in your reporting and downloads for the selected datasets.
Editing Project ISO
Select an ISO by updating the check boxes next to each ISO.
Editing the Project Datasets
You can modify the reporting datasets assigned to your project at any time. However, keep in mind that if you make changes to your datasets, you will need to re-run your reports and regenerate your downloads to ensure that the new datasets are included.
To add or remove datasets from your project, transfer them between the columns labeled 'Available Datasets' and 'Selected Datasets'.
Once all edits are complete in the Update Project window, select Save.
