Configure a Layer Filter

Pivvot Layers are the visual representations of the datasets you have loaded into the system.  A filter presents a focused view of a layer in a map. By limiting the visibility of features in a layer, you can reveal what's important. For example, you might create a filter on a transportation layer so only railroads and public roads appear on the map.

Using filters you can create one or many purpose built layers from a single dataset.

To access a Layer filter

  1. Select the Layer Console icon on the left sidebar.
  2. Locate the layer in the list.
  3. Right-click the layer > Edit Layer OR click on the layer > select Edit Layer icon at the top right.
