Release Notes 2024.08.07

Pivvot Data

This update contains changes that affect two columns in Pivvot’s Social Vulnerability Index dataset. The modifications are as follows:  

 

Poverty Percent – The definition of this column has been modified. 
  • Old – Percentage of the persons below poverty estimate. 
  • New – Percentage of the persons below 150% poverty estimate. 
Income Estimate (Per capita) - ATSDR did not report this value in their 5/21/2024 publication. 
  • The Income Estimate column values will remain empty in data originating from the 5/21/2024 publication. 

The CDC/ATSDR (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry) published an update to their Social Vulnerability Index on 5/21/2024. This publication is based on ACS (American Community Survey) data from years 2018-2022.
