Using the Detail Table

Save Table Format

Save table format allows users to save column sorting, filtering, visibility, and arrangement changes on the detail table.

Save table format

  1. Modify layout of the table.
  2. Right click anywhere on the table and choose Save table format.

Restore saved table format

This option allows users to return to the saved format after making modifications to the table format.

  1. Right click anywhere on the table and choose Restore saved table format.

Delete saved table format

  1. Right click anywhere on the table and choose Delete table format.

Note: If a new column is added to a report you will see a dialog asking if you would like it automatically added to your saved table format. If you choose No then you will need to add it manually and re-Save the table format.

Column Sorting

Arrange rows in ascending or descending order based on a column or columns.

  • Single Column - Click the column header.
  • Multiple Columns - Hold down ctrl and click column headers.

Column Filtering

Modify what is visible in the table based on a criteria for a given column or columns.

  1. Hover over column header.
  2. Click the column menu icon .
  3. Click the filter icon.
  4. Choose filter type. Enter filter criteria.

Column Visibility

Hide Columns

There are two methods to hide a column:

  1. Click the column menu icon  and then click the grid column icon . Check columns you want to hide.

OR

  1. Click and drag column off the grid.

Show Column

  1. Click the column menu icon   and then click the grid column icon . Check columns you want to display.

Column Sizing

There are two methods to resize a column:

  1. Double click the side of column header.

OR

  1. Click the column menu icon  and then click Autosize This Column or Autosize All Columns.

Column Arrangement

Adjust the position the columns appears on the table.

  • Click and drag column to desired location.

Column Pinning

Pins a column to the left or right side of the table so when you scroll around this column will always remain in view.

  • To Pin - Click the column menu icon  and then click Pin Column. Choose Pin location.
  • To Unpin - click the column menu icon  and then click Pin Column and choose No Pin.

Export table

  • To export the table right click anywhere on the table and choose Excel or CSV.

Note: When opening an Excel formatted export you will receive a "The file format and extension...." message. Click yes.

Copy

To copy selected cells right click on the table and Copy or Copy with Headers.

There are two methods to create a selection:

  1. Click and drag desired cells.

OR

  1. Hold ctrl and click desired cells.
