Pivvot's latest Siting updates make the app more flexible for more use cases--data centers, renewable energy, transportation, and wetland and stream mitigation banking siting.
Siting Update
Pivvot is pleased to announce our latest updates to the Siting application. The new version of Siting makes prospecting for sites more flexible and applicable to a wider range of use cases. These enhancements are designed to provide users with greater versatility and efficiency in their site selection process. By expanding the application's capabilities, we are enabling our clients to address diverse project requirements and adapt to various industry needs more effectively. This update not only streamlines the prospecting process but also empowers users to make more informed decisions, ultimately leading to better project outcomes.
More options in the proximity search
Siting now supports searching for sites in proximity to a wider range of features, including data centers, fiber optic lines, transportation routes, wetlands, and water bodies, in addition to powerlines and substations. This expanded functionality allows for more comprehensive and targeted site searches, ensuring that you can find the most suitable locations based on a variety of critical factors.
Choose up to 3 datasets for your proximity search. Need a site within a mile of a data center and a substation? Now you can search for a variety of combinations of parameters, making your site selection process even more precise and tailored to your specific needs.
Distance to feature in Project Sites chart
Calculate the distance to the features in the distance filters set for the search on the Project Sites tab.
Select datasets for reporting and downloads
When setting up a project, you now have the flexibility to choose which datasets to include in your project’s deliverables. This enhancement will make generating web reports and downloads faster and more efficient, allowing you to focus on the specific information you need. By streamlining the data selection process, you can analyze sites more quickly and effectively, ultimately improving your productivity and decision-making.
Filter Visible Layers
We are excited to introduce a new feature in the layers menu that allows you to filter the layers visible on the map. This enhancement will help you quickly view and manage your layer choices with ease. To turn off the filter, simply click the eyeball icon at the top of the menu.
Update to the AOI (Area of Interest) for your site search
With Pivvot Siting, your search will be confined to areas in proximity to a line, point, or within a polygon. The search parameters will now all fall within the buffer around a point or line, or within a polygon. Simply click on the save icon to define and create your AOI. This targeted approach ensures that your site search is focused on the most relevant areas, enhancing the accuracy and speed of your results.
