The Publish tool is useful if:
- You want to add a permanent data layer to the Pivvot Platform that can be accessed only by your organization and by all users from your organization. Adding a data layer must be in Esri Geodatabase format.
- You want to create or modify a Parcel/Constraint PDF Report. The standard parcel/constraint PDF report is currently available to you.
- You want to add a WMS data layer. A WMS data layer would be visible only by your organization and by all users within your organization. WMS data layers are view only.
- You have purchased Pivvot's Site View product. This is not common. Publish allows those with the Site View product to set up Site Views, Add Layers, Add & Manage Site View Users, and create Reports.

| 2. Site View Console | The Site View Console allows you to design purpose built site views*; including what layers are visible on the map, what data users can search, and the reports available to the site's users. *Pivvot Site View product required |

Dataset Console | The Dataset Console allows data uploads from an Esri file geodatabase, Fulcrum, or to create an empty dataset, that can then be used to add to Aware, Siting, Route, and Site Views. For those with Pivvot's Site View product, users can also create reports based on added datasets. |
| 4. Layers Console | The Layer Console is used to create the style (symbology and labels) of your Dataset as a layer to view in Aware, Siting, and Site Views* (added datasets for Route do not require a layer to be generated) *Pivvot Site View product required |
| 5. Layer Group Console | Group your layers to view within the Pivvot Platforms for better organization. |
| 6. PDF Report Console | The PDF Report Console allows users to create & edit the Parcel/Constraint/Site PDF Report* templates. *the number of PDF Report templates users can create / modify depends upon your Pivvot Product Package. |
