Background Display

Map views are a standard Google Maps feature.  They allow users to switch between map and imagery view.

  1. At the bottom left, click the Map/Satellite toggle.
  2. Choose Map or Satellite.
    1. Optional - If viewing Map click Terrain.
    2. Optional - If viewing Satellite click Labels.

45 Degree Imagery

This feature allows you to view the map imagery as if you were flying in a helicopter.  This imagery is not available across the entire US.  The coverage is determined by Google.

To view 45-Degree imagery:

  1. Turn on Satellite imagery.
    1. At the top right, click the Map/Satellite drop down.
    2. Choose Satellite.
  2. Zoom to desired location. Continue zooming in until the 45 degree imagery button
       (along right side of map).
    1. Click 45 degree imagery button.
    2. Click the Rotate button   to rotate imagery.
